Our Privacy Principles
FinePrint Shield is privacy-first. Documents are stored locally on your device by default, and we never sell or rent your data. AI-powered contract analysis is processed securely online.
What We Collect
We collect minimal data needed to operate the service: account identifiers (if you create an account), basic device info for diagnostics, and usage events for product improvement (aggregated and anonymized).
What We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect the contents of your documents for storage. Documents are stored locally on your device by default unless you explicitly upload them or use a cloud-powered feature like AI contract analysis or advanced OCR.
Cloud-Powered Features
AI contract analysis and advanced OCR transmit document text to secure processing servers. These transmissions are encrypted in transit, processed transiently, and uploaded documents are not permanently retained after analysis.
Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell or trade personal data. We may share information with service providers strictly to operate the service, or when required by law.
Data Retention
Documents you store in the encrypted vault remain until you delete them. Aggregated analytics are retained for limited periods.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting support@merdorian.com.
Children's Privacy
FinePrint Shield is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
We will notify you of material changes to this policy through the App or email.
